UMASS Neurobiology Department
We are lucky to be a part of the fantastic and fun Neurobiology Department, which is home to a diverse set of laboratories dedicated to uncovering the fundamentals of neurobiology. Research is conducted across a wide range of model systems, including nematodes, flies, shrimp, rodents, and human stem cell-based models.
SCOPE
Light microscopy core facility, the Sanderson Center for Optical Experimentation (SCOPE), offers the tools and expertise required to perform a wide variety of quantitative microscopy techniques, including commercial and custom platforms.
Viral Vector Core
The Viral Vector Core (VVC) of the Gene Therapy Center uses cutting-edge technologies to create and produce a variety of high-quality viral vectors.
BioCore
BioCore is a team that develops tools for the researchers in UMCMS and their collaborators through training, support, and strategic consulting to provide data analysis services to assist researchers in analyzing data generated from next-generation sequencing studies.
Morningside Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences
The PhD and MD/PhD programs in the Morningside Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences train students to be future science leaders with a broad background in basic biomedical sciences. Students from any program are eligible to rotate in the Boulting Lab.
Postbaccalaureate Research Education Program (PREP)
The PREP program is a 12-month program that enhances student academic preparedness and laboratory-based or clinical research experience. The result is a graduate who is competitive for admission into top-tier graduate programs.
